Port Mac.

So once again i find myself distracting myself from educating myself. Maybe one day I'll write on this blog simply for the joy of contemplating life rather than to escape writing an exegesis! In fact, maybe that day is not too far off seeing as I graduate college in 5 weeks....(count them - FIVE! Arrrgghhh!)

So this last week I popped up to Port Macquarie with a whole bunch of guys from college to help host the AOG State conference. It was so great! We were staying a mere 2 minutes walk from the beach in a Big 4 caravan park which, although it wasn't the Hilton, was pretty good considering we didn't have to pay for it. The interesting part was that I had to share a double bed with someone for only the second time in my life (excluding all the incidents as a child when I had nightmares or a thunderstorm came along...) The first time was with a guy called Deji from Nigeria (who incidently is the buffest Nigerian you could ever want to meet) in Ranikhet, Northern India after a week of prayer trekking in the Himalayas. This time, I was sharing a bed with one of my housemates Josh 'the Beast' Devries who is an absolute legend...i love the bloke, so thankfully it wasn't too much of a traumatic experience. I was quite happy to sleep next to him, even when his head ended up on my chest at 3am on the 2nd night....

The beaches up at Mac. were truly stunning and the surf was great too. When the sun came out so did the boardies, the bodyboards and the cricket bat. I think the thing that made it such a great week (other than it being a free holiday at the church's expense ;@p ) was that I got the chance to hang out with some of my closest friends in college for the whole week. I mean these guys and gals are seriously cool and I can totally see them bringing an incredible change to the world in the years to come...I am seriously blessed to have them in my life.

The other great bit of news this week is that I got given £400 by my Grandad back in the UK which is so great as it's a significant amount of money towards my flight home!

Ok then...back to Hebrews! Here's some photos...

Nice work if you can get it! Seriously, I'm sure you more than earned your few hours on the beach with your mates. Sounds like you had a great time - I've never been to Port Mac, but it looks beautiful (we are semi-serious about taking a drive north during my November holidays, and it looks like PM - and the Big 4 park - would be a great place to visit).

Those beaches would be just like the ones back in England, no? :)
Hope you have a great last 5 weeks at College: don't be too anxious about what comes next - the opportunities are practically endless.
